After-Hours Movers 5/12: ULTR, IFLG, INTC, MRVC Higher; SOLR, KRG, PL, NAT, NCMI Lower

Ultrapetrol (Nasdaq: ULTR) 14.6% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.04, 4 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $57.8 million vs. $46.11 million consensus.

GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOLR) 13.9% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.08, 10 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.18. Revenue for the quarter was $138.5 million, versus the consensus of $151.29 million. Sees FY10 sales of $450-$550 million, versus the consensus of $554.12 million. EPS for the year are expected to be in the range of $0.45-$0.60, versus the Street estimate of $0.71.

Kite Realty Group Trust (NYSE: KRG) 10% LOWER; announced today that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of 25,000,000 common shares of beneficial interest. The Company intends to use all of the net proceeds from this offering to repay borrowings under its unsecured revolving credit facility, to repay other indebtedness and for working capital and other general corporate purposes.

Protective Life Corporation (NYSE: PL) 9.8% LOWER; announced a proposed offering of 12,500,000 shares of common stock to the public. The net proceeds from the offering will be used for general corporate purposes.

Nordic American Tanker Shipping Ltd. (NYSE: NAT) 7.8% LOWER; announced an underwritten public offering of 3,500,000 common shares. The common shares purchased by the underwriters are expected to be offered for resale from time to time in negotiated transactions or otherwise, at market prices on the New York Stock Exchange prevailing at the time of sale, at prices related to such prevailing market prices or otherwise.

National Cinemedia (Nasdaq: NCMI) 6.7% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.02, 1 cent lower than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter was $73.5 million, versus the consensus of $71.33 million. Sees Q2 revs of $84-$87 million, versus the consensus of $91.3 million.

Infologix (Nasdaq: IFLG) 6% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $0.18, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.01). Revenue for the quarter was $18.8 million, versus the consensus of $26.60 million.

BioMed Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: BMR) 5.1% LOWER; announced it has commenced a public offering of 14,000,000 shares of its common stock pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

BMC Software (NYSE: BMC) 4.9% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.64, ex-items, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.62. Revenue for the quarter was $479 million, versus the consensus of $487.02 million. Sees FY10 EPS of $2.37-$2.47, versus the consensus of $2.42.

Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE: CLF) 4.2% LOWER; announced that it is offering to sell, subject to market and other conditions, 12,000,000 common shares through an underwritten offering. Also decided to cut its dividend by 55% to $0.04 from $0.0875. Cliffs Natural Resources said the action would result in an annual cash savings of approximately $22 million.

Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) 4% HIGHER; on a conference call, the CEO said Q2 results are looking like they could be better-than-expected.

Western Alliance Bancorp. (NYSE: WAL) 4% LOWER; expects to offer and sell approximately $150 million of common stock in an underwritten public offering through Keefe, Bruyette & Woods and D.A. Davidson & Co.

MRV Communications (Nasdaq: MRVC) 3.2% HIGHER; sees Q1 sales exceeding the upper end of its previously issued guidance. Click here for the full report.

China Digital TV Holding Co. Ltd (NYSE: STV) 3.2% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.13, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.13. Revenue for the quarter was $14.4 million, versus the consensus of $14.24 million. Sees Q2 sales of $14.5-$15.5 million, versus the consensus of $17.46 million.

AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMAG) 3% HIGHER; announced that the FDA has accepted the Company's resubmission of its Feraheme New Drug Application in response to the December 2008 Complete Response letter as a complete, Class 1 response. In addition, the FDA has established June 29, 2009 as its target action date under the Prescription Drug User Fee Act to complete its review. The Company is seeking marketing approval of its iron replacement therapy, Feraheme, to treat iron deficiency anemia in chronic kidney disease patients.

HearUsa (AMEX: EAR) 3% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $0.01, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter was $26.1 million, versus the consensus of $25.41 million.

AMD (NYSE: AMD) 2% HIGHER; moving higher on the comments made by Intel's CEO, Paul Otellini.

Applied Materials (Nasdaq: AMAT) 1.8% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $0.10 versus the analyst estimate of ($0.10). Revenue for the quarter was $1.02 billion, versus the consensus of $906.06 million.

Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE) 1.2% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $3.14, or $9.85 billion. Revenue for the quarter was $771 million. Freddie to tap $6.1 billion in treasury capital after the quarterly loss.

TomoTherapy Incorporated (NASDAQ: TOMO) INDICATED LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $0.26, 1 cent worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.25). Revenue for the quarter was $30.6 million, versus the consensus of $31.67 million. Affirms its FY09 loss guidance but lowers its yearly sales guidance from $180-$210 million to $170-$190 million. The Street is currently expecting FY09 sales of $180.41 million.
