Alcoa (NYSE: AA): rumor the company, which bid for Alcan (NYSE: AL), could itself be a takeover target. Large holder JANA Partners wants AA to drop its bid for AL and go on the auction block.
Steel Dynamics Inc. (Nasdaq: STLD) and Commercial Metals Co. (NYSE: CMC) up on talk they could be next steel takeovers.
Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO): UBS sees partnership with Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) instead of merger and notes that YHOO's CEO is presenting in a meeting Wednesday with MSN's VP titled "The New Network"
eSpeed Inc. (Nasdaq: ESPD): Rumors of another bid as controlling holder turned away $12 bid from Tullett Prebon and company is an activist shareholder target.
