LeCroy (LCRY) Rivals On Watch After Hefty Takeover

Traders are watching rivals of LeCroy Corp. (Nasdaq: LCRY) after the company was acquired by Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY) for $14.30 per share, or a 56 percent premium.

Larger rivals include for oscilloscopes including Tektronix, Inc., a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR), Agilent Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: A), Rigol Technologies, Inc., Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Iwatsu Electric Company Ltd., National Instruments (Nasdaq: NATI) and Rohde & Schwarz International, among others.

In protocol analyzers, rivals include Agilent (NYSE: A) and JDS Uniphase Corporation (Nasdaq: JDSU).

Smaller market-cap rival like National Instruments (Nasdaq: NATI) and JDS Uniphase (Nasdaq: JDSU) would likely be the only ones seeing speculative trading on the news.

ChipMOS (Nasdaq: IMOS) is another name traders mentioned, although it is not listed as a direct rival.
