EQT in advanced talks to buy Keywords Studios for $2.8 billion May 19, 2024 11:02AM

(Reuters) -European private equity group EQT is in advanced discussions to buy Dublin-based video game services company Keywords Studios for 2.2 billion pounds ($2.79 billion), the companies said in a statement.

EQT is negotiating over a possible cash offer of 25.50 pounds per share of London-listed Keywords, the statement said. This offer represents a premium of about 73% over Keywords' closing share price of 14.70 pounds on Friday.

US to complete withdrawal from Niger by Sept. 15 May 19, 2024 10:18AM

NIAMEY (Reuters) - Niger and the United States have reached an agreement on the withdrawal of American troops from the West African country, a process that has already begun and will be finished by Sept. 15, they said in a joint statement.

US regulators reconsider capital hike for big banks, WSJ reports May 19, 2024 09:23AM

(Reuters) -The Federal Reserve and two other U.S. regulators are moving toward a new plan that would significantly reduce a nearly 20% mandated increase in capital for the country's biggest banks following lobbying efforts by industry CEOs like JPMorgan Chase's Jamie Dimon, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday.

Comet fragment lights up sky over Spain and Portugal 'like a movie' May 19, 2024 09:19AM

LISBON (Reuters) - A bright comet fragment lit up the skies over parts of Spain and Portugal late on Saturday, according to the European Space Agency (ESA), with one Lisbon resident saying the dazzling display "felt like a movie".
