MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico's outgoing president said he would not pressure his successor to rush a package of constitutional reforms he has proposed, including a major overhaul of the judiciary which has spooked markets since the June 2 election.

Ukraine names commander of drone systems Jun 10, 2024 05:05PM

(Reuters) - The Ukrainian military announced the appointment on Monday of a commander of drone forces, underscoring the importance of drone warfare as repeatedly stressed by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and other leaders in the 27-month-old war against Russia.

New York transit agency looks for capital cuts after halt to congestion pricing Jun 10, 2024 05:00PM

(Reuters) - New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority said Monday the agency is looking for cuts to capital projects and is concerned about the status of federal grants after Governor Kathy Hochul ordered an indefinite halt to congestion pricing.

California seeks company profits in Big Oil climate lawsuit Jun 10, 2024 04:55PM

(Reuters) - California's attorney general on Monday sought to force the world's biggest oil companies to give up profits the state alleges they made while deceiving consumers about their role in contributing to climate change.

The legal action comes months after a new state law went into effect that allows the attorney general to seek profits obtained from companies while they violated laws against unfair competition and false advertising.
