SAO PAULO (Reuters) - The outlook for soy production in one of Brazil's biggest farm states is deteriorating quickly after heavy rains disrupted harvesting with about a quarter of fields left to reap from in Rio Grande do Sul.

MILAN (Reuters) - Italy's biggest bank Intesa Sanpaolo on Friday said it had acquired some 90,000 new customers through its digital-only arm Isybank, after an antitrust decision effectively halted the migration of existing clients.

GENEVA (Reuters) - The head of the World Health Organization on Friday urged countries to agree to an accord to help fight future pandemics as negotiations approach a deadline this month.
The new pact and a series of updates to existing rules on dealing with pandemics are intended to shore up the world's defenses against new pathogens after the COVID-19 pandemic killed millions of people.

(Reuters) - Rivian Automotive named Javier Varela its chief operating officer on Friday, bolstering its ranks with the Volvo veteran as the electric-vehicle startup expands its production facility even as it grapples with a slowdown in demand.
Volvo said earlier this week that Varela would leave the Swedish truck maker after an eight-year stint that saw him rise to the role of deputy CEO and COO in 2022.
