DONETSK REGION, Ukraine (Reuters) - For Ukrainian gun commander Oleksandr Kozachenko, the long-awaited U.S. ammunition can't come fast enough as he and his comrades struggle to hold off relentless Russian attacks.

His unit's U.S.-supplied M777 howitzer, which once hurled 100 shells a day at the encroaching enemy, is now often reduced to fewer than 10.

"It's a luxury if we can fire 30 shells."

KARACHI/BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan (Reuters) - Pakistan's foreign ministry said on Saturday it had summoned and handed a note of protest to Kyrgyzstan's top diplomat in the country in response to violence against Pakistani students in Bishkek.

Kyrgyz police said they had mobilised forces in the Central Asian nation's capital on Friday to quell the violence, in which hundreds of Kyrgyz men attacked buildings housing foreign students, including Pakistanis.

(Reuters) - Libya's eastern-based authorities are investigating the disappearance of a member of parliament, the region's interior ministry said, and it did not believe he had been killed.

The House of Representatives (HoR) member for Benghazi, Ibrahim Aldrasi, is missing after a robbery at his home, the media manager of the ministry said in a statement on Friday evening.
