ASM second-quarter bookings disappoint, cites order timing Jul 22, 2025 03:22PM

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) -Computer chip equipment maker ASM International reported second-quarter bookings below market expectations on Tuesday, citing uneven order timing from chipmakers making advanced chips.

The Dutch firm said order intake was "lumpy" and it expects orders from those chipmakers to pick up again in the third quarter.

US confirms death of citizen in Syria last week Jul 22, 2025 03:12PM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. State Department on Tuesday confirmed the death of a U.S. citizen last week in the predominantly Druze region of Sweida, where hundreds of people have been reported killed in clashes.

Hershey to raise prices on its chocolates owing to high cocoa costs Jul 22, 2025 03:07PM

(Reuters) -Hershey said on Tuesday it has told retailers that it would be raising prices on its candies due to a surge in costs of cocoa, the key ingredient for its products.

"This change is not related to tariffs or trade policies. It reflects the reality of rising ingredient costs including the unprecedented cost of cocoa," a company spokesperson told Reuters.
