Turkey inflation up near 70%, highest since 2022 May 3, 2024 03:43AM

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Turkish annual consumer price inflation climbed to 69.8% in April, official data showed on Friday, a bit below expectations but the highest since late-2022 on strong rises in education, restaurants and hotels prices.

Month-on-month, consumer price inflation was 3.18%, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute, compared with 3.16% in March.

Italy's Webuild sends proposal to rebuild collapsed Baltimore bridge May 3, 2024 03:06AM

(Reuters) - Italian construction group Webuild said on Friday it has pitched a project to rebuild Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge, which collapsed in March after a container ship crashed into a support pillar.

The project includes the design and planning for the reconstruction, which envisages a cable-stayed bridge with the aim to improve safety, adaptability, sustainability and to ensure maximum safety for navigation, the company said.
