STRESA, Italy (Reuters) - An accord over a global minimum tax on multinationals will not be finalised by June as previously planned, Italy's Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said ahead of a G7 finance summit starting on Friday.
Giorgetti, who chairs the gathering as Italy holds the G7 presidency this year, said that the United States, India and China all have reservations over the terms of the deal.

(Reuters) - European stocks lost ground on Friday, set for their biggest percentage drop in more than five weeks, as signs of persistent U.S. price pressures and a recovering euro zone economy dashed hopes of interest rate cuts from major central banks this year.

(Reuters) - Police removed around 100 roadblocks across New Caledonia on Friday after what territorial authorities described as a "relatively calm" night following President Emmanuel Macron's visit to the French Pacific island after over a week of riots.
Around 3,000 police officers and gendarmes are now present on the island, the French High Commission in charge of security in New Caledonia said, adding that 350 people had been arrested so far.
