Halliburton says Mexico oil output decline rates will pressure reactivation of business Jul 22, 2025 11:26AM

HOUSTON (Reuters) -U.S. oilfield service provider Halliburton on Tuesday said Mexico's crude production decline rates are creating pressure for a reactivation of business amid long delays from state-run Pemex to pay its suppliers.

Output of crude and condensate by Pemex, the largest producer in the country, fell 8.4% in May to 1.64 million barrels per day, according to official figures.

Longtime PCAOB official to lead the audit watchdog, US SEC says Jul 22, 2025 11:09AM

NEW YORK (Reuters) -The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has tapped a longtime official of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board to lead the audit watchdog, after the agency's head pushed out its Democratic chief last week.

German car parts maker Bosch to cut up to 1,100 jobs Jul 22, 2025 11:08AM

FRANKFURT (Reuters) -German car parts maker Bosch will cut up to 1,100 jobs by 2029 and restructure its Reutlingen plant as a rapidly worsening auto market drives down sales, a senior company official said on Tuesday.

Bosch will focus the plant mainly on manufacturing semiconductors, as making electronic control units is no longer competitive, a statement said.

Increasing drone incidents near US airports, stadiums prompt alarm, officials say Jul 22, 2025 11:05AM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. officials told a Senate committee on Tuesday that there have been more than 3,000 drone events near American airports since 2021 including 11 aircraft this year that reported taking evasive action to avoid collisions.

'I'm free now,' says Venezuelan singer held in El Salvador Jul 22, 2025 11:00AM

CARACAS (Reuters) -A Venezuelan singer who spent months in a notorious prison in El Salvador returned to his family in Caracas overnight, one of the first of more than 250 former prisoners to arrive home after they were sent back to Venezuela last week.
