Foreign credit card transactions add scarce dollars to Venezuela circulation Jun 13, 2024 07:13AM

CARACAS (Reuters) - Transactions paid with foreign credit cards are helping circulate more foreign currency in Venezuela, where the government has locked in an exchange rate as part of efforts to control double-digit inflation, four public sector and finance sources said.

(Reuters) - One of Russia's top security officials called on Thursday for Russians to mobilise to inflict "maximum harm" on Western societies and infrastructure as payback for increasingly tough sanctions being imposed on Moscow by the U.S. and its allies.

3M to transfer about $2.5 billion of US pension obligations to Met Tower Life Insurance Jun 13, 2024 07:01AM

(Reuters) - 3M said on Thursday it would transfer about $2.5 billion of its U.S. pension payment obligations and related plan assets for nearly 23,000 U.S. retirees and beneficiaries to Metropolitan Tower Life Insurance.

Met Tower Life will begin paying and administering the retirement benefits included in the transfer on Oct. 1.
