MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian patriotic bloggers expressed anger on Wednesday over the arrest of the former commander of Russia's 58th army, who was detained for fraud, and cast him as a talented general who had the courage to speak the truth to incompetent superiors.

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - The Swedish government has agreed with its support party to create a three-year framework for military support to Ukraine totalling 75 billion crowns ($7.01 billion), it said on Wednesday.

LONDON (Reuters) - Ireland will recognise a Palestinian state, Prime Minister Simon Harris said on Wednesday, adding that he expected other countries to join Ireland, Spain and Norway in taking such a step in the coming weeks.

MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez plans to announce the recognition of an independent Palestinian state on Wednesday, a government source said, confirming a report from news website El Confidencial.
