(Reuters) - A man has been rescued alive from the rubble five days after a deadly building collapse in the South African city of George, local media reported on Saturday.

On Thursday, officials said that of 81 people who were on site when the five-story building collapsed on Monday, eight were confirmed dead and 29 were alive, with many missing in the rubble.

(Reuters) - Nikki Haley is under active consideration by Donald Trump's campaign to be his running mate, Axios reported on Saturday, citing people familiar with the dynamic.

Trump could pick Haley if he were convinced she could help him win the presidency, avoid a potential prison sentence and cover tens of millions in legal bills if he loses, the report added.

WARSAW (Reuters) - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Saturday that Poland is starting work on further strengthening the entire eastern border, as the country faces what he called a growing "hybrid war" in illegal migration from Belarus.

Tusk did not provide details about the planned actions, nor the any funds that would be allocated, but said that when it came to Poland's security there would be "no limits".

KABUL (Reuters) -The death toll from devastating flash floods in northern Afghanistan has risen to 153 people across three provinces, the Taliban's interior ministry said on Saturday.

At least 138 people have also been injured in the flooding across northern Baghlan, Takhar and Badakhshan, caused by heavy rains on Friday, ministry spokesman Abdul Mateen Qaniee told Reuters.

BEIJING (Reuters) - Embattled Chinese property developer Country Garden said in a statement on Saturday it had repaid two onshore bond coupons before the expiry of a five-day grace period, following missed payments last week.

Country Garden, which defaulted on $11 billion of offshore bonds and extended other onshore bond repayments late last year, said on Thursday it aimed to make the payment and additional interest incurred by Monday.
