FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Euro zone inflation is falling towards 2% and geopolitical stress poses only moderate risks but the European Central Bank should still exercise caution in cutting interest rates beyond a first step in June, Dutch policymaker Klaas Knot told Nikkei.

VIENNA (Reuters) - Austrian prosecutors said on Monday they are investigating far-right leader Herbert Kickl on suspicion of breach of trust for allegedly using public funds to take out media advertising in exchange for favourable party coverage when he was a minister.

CHICAGO (Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture said on Monday it is collecting samples of ground beef in states with outbreaks of bird flu in dairy cows for testing but remains confident the meat supply is safe.
The USDA will analyze the ground beef to determine "whether any viral particles are present," according to a statement.
