(Reuters) - Over 939,000 homes and businesses in Texas, Kentucky and other states were without power on Tuesday as storms continued to batter the region since the long Memorial Day holiday weekend, according to meteorologists and data from PowerOutage.us.
That is up from around 754,000 customer outages earlier on Tuesday.

(Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury on Tuesday sanctioned three Chinese individuals and three Thai companies for involvement in a cybercrime network that it said made bomb threats and fraudulent applications for COVID-related aid, costing the government billions of dollars.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel's center-left Labour party elected as its new leader Yair Golan, a former general who won widespread acclaim for rescuing people during the Oct 7 Hamas attack, the party said on Tuesday.
Golan, a military reservist who formerly served as a member of parliament for the left-wing Meretz party, won 95% of the party vote.
