PORT-AU-PRINCE (Reuters) -Haiti will replace the head of its national police force, Frantz Elbe, with former chief Rameau Normil, the prime minister's office said on Friday, as the country faces a gang crisis that has displaced over half a million people.

The Haitian National Police, or PNH, has been at the forefront of a battle against powerful armed gangs that have taken over most of the capital, Port-au-Prince.

(Reuters) - Chinese Premier Li Qiang visited New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra on Saturday, a stop Trade Minister Todd McClay called "very positive" after the Chinese leader had spoken of demand for New Zealand's agricultural products.

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico's president will now be able to directly grant amnesty without going through established procedures and under certain conditions, according to a decree published in the country's official gazette late on Friday.

The amendment to the existing amnesty law can apply to anyone who has an ongoing criminal case, is being prosecuted or who has been sentenced, according to the decree.
