CANBERRA (Reuters) - Rescue efforts at the site of a landslide in Papua New Guinea are due to end on Thursday, two weeks after part of a mountain collapsed onto a remote village, a United Nations agency said.
It remained unclear how many people died in the disaster in PNG's Enga region, but the national government said more than 2,000 people may have been buried alive. A U.N. estimate put the death toll at around 670.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Francis is a pope of many firsts: the first to use that name, the first from Latin America, the first from the Jesuit religious order. Since last week, he's also the first pope to apologise for using foul language.
Francis was quoted by Italian media as using the Italian term "frociaggine", roughly translating as "faggotness" or "faggotry", in a closed-door May 20 meeting with Italian bishops.

BEIJING (Reuters) - Beijing-based rocket developer Space Pioneer said on Thursday that it had completed more than 1.5 billion yuan ($207 million) round of fundraising that will go towards financing the development of its reusable rockets.
