WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson said on Tuesday he does not think the U.S. Congress should consider sanctions on Russia until after President Donald Trump's 50-day deadline for Moscow to end the war in Ukraine.

Trump says Fed's Powell will be out soon Jul 22, 2025 11:52AM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell kept rates too high and will be out in eight months, President Donald Trump said at a news conference on Tuesday.

"I think he's done a bad job, but he's going to be out pretty soon," he said from a meeting at the White House with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Less than 400 EV charging ports built under $7.5 billion U.S. infrastructure program Jul 22, 2025 11:47AM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. states have built less than 400 electric vehicle charging ports through April under $7.5 billion federal infrastructure programs, the Government Accountability Office said Tuesday.

GENEVA (Reuters) -The World Health Organization issued an urgent call for action on Tuesday to prevent a repeat of an epidemic of the mosquito-borne chikungunya virus that swept the globe two decades ago, as new outbreaks linked to the Indian Ocean region spread to Europe and other continents.
