BEIJING, Feb ⁠9 (Reuters) - Alibaba's artificial ⁠intelligence ‍chatbot Qwen has temporarily stopped issuing coupons due to customer overload, hampering a new campaign to promote the tool's ‍capabilities beyond simply answering questions to assist shopping.

Germany's carnival season to generate nearly 2 billion euros in revenue, says institute Feb 9, 2026 02:44AM

BERLIN, Feb 9 (Reuters) - ⁠Germany's carnival ⁠season, ‍whose celebrations will peak this week, is set to generate nearly 2 billion euros ($2.36 billion) ‍in revenue this year, according to a ​study by the German Economic Institute (IW) seen by Reuters on Monday.

Sectors ​ranging from hotels and bars to costume retailers are set to benefit from the festivities, said the IW.

Building collapse in Lebanon's Tripoli kills 13, search for missing continues Feb 9, 2026 02:39AM

Feb 9 (Reuters) - ⁠The death ⁠toll ‍from the collapse of a residential building in the ‍Lebanese city of Tripoli rose to ​13, as rescue teams continued to search ​for missing people beneath the rubble, Lebanon's National News Agency reported on Monday.

Rescue workers in ​the northern city's Bab al-Tabbaneh neighbourhood have also assisted nine ​survivors, while the search continued for others still ‌believed to be trapped under the debris, NNA said.

Feb 9 (Reuters) - A consortium ⁠led by holding ⁠firm ‍Advent and FedEx has agreed to buy InPost for 15.60 euros per share, valuing the parcel locker company at 7.8 ‍billion euros ($9.2 billion) and aiming to further expand its reach across ​Europe, the companies said on Monday.
