TOKYO (Reuters) - Shares in Sony Group jumped 12% in early Tokyo trading on Wednesday after the company pledged to boost shareholder returns and forecast higher annual profit with a boost from its image sensors business.

TOKYO (Reuters) - The dollar traded near a one-month low versus the euro on Wednesday amid lower Treasury yields as traders braced for a key U.S. inflation report later in the day that could dictate the path of Federal Reserve policy.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. House Republican Carol Miller in a Tuesday primary defeated a challenger who had pleaded guilty to a role in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, Edison Research projected.
The seat is not considered competitive in the Nov. 5 general election, meaning Miller will likely remain in Congress next year.
