Universal American (UAM) Adds $50M to Buyback Program

Universal American Corp. (NYSE: UAM) today announced that its Board has approved the repurchase of up to an additional $50 million of common stock.

As of the close of trading on Friday June 6, 2008, the Company has repurchased 4,028,779 shares, at an average price of $11.29 per share, totaling $45.5 million under the $50 million share repurchase program that was authorized on February 19, 2008.

Universal American Corp. provides health insurance and managed care products and services to the senior population in the United States.
