WASHINGTON, DC -- (Marketwired) -- 08/25/16 -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) has announced Carmen Castillo, Jose Mas, and Henry Fleches as Hispanic Business Enterprise (HBE) chairs for the organization's National Convention taking place October 9-11 in Miami, Florida.

The USHCC Annual National Convention is the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in America. This premier event is the country's largest networking venue for Hispanic business and Fortune 1000 corporations interested in the Hispanic market. Over two days, the National Convention affords Hispanic vendors and corporate buyers the opportunity to establish and strengthen meaningful partnerships where business opportunities can flourish. Thousands of top corporate executives, successful business owners, entrepreneurs, chamber leaders, and national political figures will join the USHCC to celebrate America's burgeoning Hispanic enterprises.

Carmen Castillo is the founder, President and CEO of SDI International Corp., one of the largest certified minority- and woman-owned Procurement Outsourcing Organizations in the world. The company provides its clients with fully scalable global indirect procurement solutions (tail-end) centered on Procure-to-Pay and Source-to-Pay. These programs are designed to manage large numbers of small suppliers handling non-critical/non-catalogue transactions that are often untracked, resulting in inefficiencies in process times, compliance and costs. SDI has distinguished itself as a provider of robust process efficiencies, driving repeatable hard cost savings through cutting-edge technology, risk assessment, quality policies and a dedicated team, fostering long-standing business relationships with its Fortune 500 customers.

"I am honored to be a Hispanic Business Enterprise Chair alongside my friends Jose Mas and Henry Fleches. The USHCC National Convention is the most important business event in America, and provides many avenues to success for women and minority owned businesses," said SDI International Corp. President and CEO, Carmen Castillo. "As an HBE owner myself, I know the significance of ensuring that women and minorities have the chance to succeed in the business world, and I can attest to the Convention's many successes in providing such opportunities."

Jose Mas is the CEO of MasTec, Inc., one of the largest and most diversified U.S. infrastructure services providers in the country. In addition to its traditional communications infrastructure business, the company has diversified into the growing fields of oil and gas pipeline construction, electric transmission line construction, renewable energy, and wireless infrastructure construction, serving a variety of clients both in the public and private sectors.

"It is a pleasure to be part of such an important event in none other than my home, Miami, Florida. The city is a diverse hub, full of minority and women business owners," said MasTec, Inc. CEO, Jose Mas. "Thus, the National Convention provides a unique opportunity for these businesses to network and engage in a business first agenda. I'm proud to serve alongside my friends Carmen Castillo and Henry Fleches."

Henry Fleches is CEO and co-founder of United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT), a leading national provider of technology solutions and managed services in the U.S. UDT provides various IT services, such as cloud and managed services, to companies and government agencies of all sizes.

"I would like to thank the USHCC for the honor of being named an HBE chair, and for the honor of serving alongside Jose Mas and Carmen Castillo. Miami has a blossoming technology sector that fosters innovation," said UDT CEO and co-founder Henry Fleches. "The USHCC National Convention provides many opportunities to these businesses, as well as business across the country. I, along with my fellow HBE Chairs, look forward to seeing our community in Miami!"
