Velocity Express Corporation (NASDAQ: VEXP) 45% HIGHER; Announced that members of management and its key advisors, led by its Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, President & Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer and Alvarez & Marsal Business Consulting LLC, will purchase one million (1,000,000) shares of Velocity Express Treasury Common Stock at the greater of $1.10 per share or the market price on the day prior to the purchase date.

Encysive Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ENCY) 42.7% LOWER; Received its third approvable letter from the FDA for THELIN, which is under review for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. In this third approvable letter, the FDA stated that Encysive's development program for THELIN did not demonstrate the evidence of effectiveness needed for approval.

U.S. Energy Systems (Nasdaq: USEY) 29.2% LOWER; Announced that its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2006, which were included in its Annual Report on Form 10-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 8, 2007, contained the following language in the Report of its independent public accounting firm, Weiser, LLP: "As discussed in Note A to the consolidated financial statements, the Company has a working capital deficiency and has experienced continuing operating losses. These matters raise substantial doubt about the Company's ability to continue as a GOING CONCERN."

Transmeta Corp. (Nasdaq: TMTA) 20% HIGHER; No specific news released today. (Stock trades under $1 per share)

China Medical Technologies (Nasdaq: CMED) 15% HIGHER; Reports Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.44 (diluted EPS is $0.40) vs. consensus of $0.31. Revenues were $21.1 million vs. $20.63 million consensus.

Labopharm Inc. (NASDAQ: DDSS) 12.5% HIGHER; Company has received a Notice of Compliance (NOC) from the Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD) of Health Canada for 100 mg, 200 mg and 300 mg tablets of its once-daily formulation of tramadol for the management of pain of moderate severity in adults who require treatment for several days or more. The NOC allows the marketing and sale of Labopharm's once-daily tramadol product in Canada.

Genesco Inc. (NYSE: GCO) 8.2% HIGHER; The Finish Line, Inc. (Nasdaq: FINL) and Genesco announced that the Boards of Directors of both companies have unanimously approved a definitive merger agreement under which The Finish Line will acquire all of the outstanding common shares of Genesco for $54.50 per share in cash. The total transaction value is approximately $1.5 billion.

CyberSource Corporation (Nasdaq: CYBS) 7.6% LOWER; CyberSource will acquire Authorize.Net (Nasdaq: ANET) in a stock and cash transaction valued at approximately $565 million.

Lee Enterprises (NYSE: LEE) 7.2% LOWER; Reported that same property advertising revenue in May decreased 1.7% compared with a year ago. Same property online advertising revenue increased 60.2%. Revenue in June is expected to be similar to the declines from prior year posted in April and May. As a result, the Company expects earnings from continuing operations for the three months ending June 30, 2007, to be in the range of $0.48-0.50 cents per diluted common share. (Consensus is $0.54)

Citadel Broadcasting (NYSE: CDL) 6.2% HIGHER; Stock rebounding after last week's announcement to acquire Disney's ABC Radio for $1.35 billion.

Fortress Investment Group LLC (NYSE: FIG) 5.9% HIGHER; Announced that its Board of Directors has declared a second quarter cash dividend of $0.225 per Class A share for the quarter ending June 30, 2007, representing a 5.9% increase from the prior quarter dividend and a 32.4% increase since its IPO in February 2007. (The stock also dipped on Friday after announcing the acquisition of Penn National Gaming)
