US BioEnergy Corp. (Nasdaq: USBE) 12% HIGHER; Piper Jaffray upgrades US BioEnergy from Market Perform to Outperform with a $15.75 price target
Targeted Genetics Corporation (Nasdaq: TGEN) 10% HIGHER; For the quarter ended December 31, 2006, the Company reported net income of $808,000, or $0.08 per common share, compared to a net loss of $3.6 million, or a loss of $0.41 per common share, for the fourth quarter of 2005. Revenue for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2006 was $4.0 million, compared to $1.9 million for the fourth quarter of 2005.
CuraGen Corporation (Nasdaq: CRGN) 10% HIGHER; Signed a definitive merger agreement under which Roche will acquire 454 Life Sciences Corporation, a majority-owned subsidiary of CuraGen Corporation.
BCE, Inc. (NYSE: BCE) 10% HIGHER; reports from The Globe and Mail buyout firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts is looking to launch a friendly takeover bid for the company.
Rio Narcea Gold Mines, Ltd. (AMEX: RNO) 9% HIGHER; reports record 2006 results. Record revenues of $225.7 million, a 114% increase over 2005. Record net income of $70.7 million, after a loss of $37.8 million from derivatives and an income tax benefit of $20.4 million.
NEOPHARM, INC. (Nasdaq: NEOL) 9% LOWER; FDA Office of Oncology said an additional Phase 3 clinical trial for Cintredekin Besudotox in the treatment of GBM would be required before the FDA could accept the Company's application for approval.
ATMI, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATMI) 8% LOWER; lowered its first quarter financial guidance. Th ecompany now estimates revenues will be between $80-$84 million and earnings per share in the $0.17-$0.21 range. The Company previously estimated revenues in the range of $84-$88 million and earnings per share in the range of $0.28-$0.32. The consensus is $86.04 million and $0.30.
Hoku Scientific, Inc. (Nasdaq: HOKU) 7% HIGHER; announced that Bank of Hawaii is providing Hoku Materials with a credit facility of up to $13 million.
Multi-Fineline Electronix, Inc. (Nasdaq: MFLX) 7% LOWER; said it does not expect to grow sequentially between the first and second quarters of fiscal 2007. On February 6, 2007, M-Flex said it expected sequential growth during the second fiscal quarter ending March 31, 2007.
GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes (NYSE: GOL) 6% HIGHER; agreed with VarigLog and Volo, the controlling shareholders of VRG Linhas Aereas S.A., to acquire the total share capital of VRG.
RF Micro Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: RFMD) 6% LOWER; confirmed its revenue and earnings per share guidance for Q4, but sees anticipate a slowdown in demand in Q1 2008.
Movado Group Inc. (NYSE: MOV) 5% LOWER; reports Q4 results, guides
Resources Connect (Nasdaq: RECN) 4% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.26, and $0.33 ex-items, versus the consensus of $0.27. Revenues were $187.5 million vs. $185.90 million consensus.
Eddie Bauer Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: EBHI) 3.85% LOWER; announced today that it plans to offer approximately $75 million aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2014.
Imax Corp. (Nasdaq: IMAX) 2.6% LOWER; to delay filing of 2006 10-K
Nabors Industries Ltd. (NYSE: NBR) 2.6% LOWER; expects its results for the first quarter of 2007 to be lower than current analysts' consensus estimates as a result of both operational and administrative factors. The company currently estimates first quarter earnings to be in the range of $0.80 to $0.85 per diluted share. The consensus is $1.01.
Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) 2.6% HIGHER; authorized a common stock dividend and an increase in the number of shares that may be repurchased. Altera will pay a quarterly dividend of $0.04 per share on June 1, 2007 to shareholders of record on May 10, 2007. Altera's board of directors has approved a 50 million share increase in the number of shares authorized for repurchase under the company's share repurchase program, bringing total to 57 million.
AG Edwards Inc. (NYSE: AGE) INDICATED HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $1.44, with $0.08 gain, versus the consensus of $1.06. Revenues came in at $865 million versus the consensus of $786.85 million.
