William Brazzel's debut science fiction novel, "The Seventh Holy Man," transports readers into a world where the Vatican has been overrun and innocent civilians are being murdered by Swiss Guards in St. Peter's Square.

The lead character, Sean Carrol, is an investigative reporter who bravely undertakes the responsibility of exploring the circumstances surrounding the current upheaval.

Attempting to link the ancient pagan kingdom of Malar to the current events talking place, unforeseen circumstances evolve as several deaths and potential threats to Vatican hierarchy are attributed to the progress of Sean Carrol's investigation.

With the very existence of the Catholic Church being threatened, the novel notes that there must be a revival of the seven holy men who represent the Seven Spirits of God.

"I created this book after exploring information about the church, especially demonic possession," Brazzel said. "It is such an exciting subject and my Catholic background made my story a natural theme to write about."

Brazzel promises that "The Seventh Holy Man" will be clearly different from anything science fiction readers have read before.
