NEC and Hortonworks Partner in Distributed Processing Big Data

The agreement enables NEC to resell support services for the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP), the industry's only 100-percent open source data platform powered by "Apache Hadoop"(1), in Japan and other Asian markets. This will allow NEC customers to utilize Open Enterprise Hadoop as a complementary component of their data architectures to enable a broad range of new applications, as well as enrich existing ones with additional data sources.Hortonworks is the leader in Open Enterprise Hadoop and develops, distributes and supports the only 100-percent open source Hadoop data platform.
