Gilbane Building Company Promotes Jon Bos to Project Executive of Downtown Chicago Interiors

Gilbane Building Company is proud to announce the promotion of Jon Bos to a Project Executive, working out of Gilbane's downtown Chicago office. He brings over 12 years of experience in construction services, operations and client relationships to the team. Mr. Bos has extensive experience planning, implementing and overseeing all phases of small and large construction projects. He has been involved in over $1 billion in construction in his career, consisting of projects locally in Chicagoland and abroad for Gilbane in Ireland. His work includes the successful management of design and construction teams in multiple product types including corporate office, retail/mixed use, higher education, research and development and healthcare. In his new role, Mr. Bos will be focused on managing Gilbane's operations for downtown Interiors, Retail/Mixed-use and Corporate market sectors.

Bos is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a M. Eng in Construction Engineering & Management. He was hired into Gilbane's management trainee program in 2006 and developed his career through numerous roles working as a project engineer, superintendent, regional manager of engineering and project manager for Gilbane. He is actively involved in the Lean Construction Institute and is a Board Member for the Chicago ACE Mentor Program. Bos volunteers his time with numerous local community organizations including Rebuilding Together Chicago, the Chicago Food Depository and Ronald McDonald House.
