Clinical Resourcing Firm ASG Changes Name to Ockham
CARY, N.C., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective immediately, ASG, Inc., a contract research and functional service provider (FSP), is changing its name to Ockham.
ASG acquired Ockham Development Group Inc., a full-service Clinical Research Organization, in February of this year.
The name change is more than cosmetic. The integration of the Ockham and ASG teams accomplishes the company's goal of becoming a global CRO.
Since Q1 2009, the company has increased its contract research business, and gained additional clinical trial outsourcing and support services through the expansion of its existing FSP business. Further plans to expand in Q1 2010 will be forthcoming.
"Post-merger, we've seen consistent increases in our backlog", said Ockham CEO James Baker. "We are confident about the future growth of the business."
Mr. Baker continues, "Our veteran management team has over 25 years of combined experience in clinical operations, including biostatistics, data management and safety - and over 25 years experience in clinical operation resource fulfillment. This depth of knowledge has broadened our line of services and created a natural extension to offer more high value to our clients and to new clients."
A new Web site -- www.ockham.com -- marks the final phase of the successful integration of the two organizations.
