California Post-Acute Care Center Pleasant Hill Receives "Zero-Deficiency" Survey
Pleasant Hill, CA (PRWEB) August 31, 2016
Pleasant Hill Post-Acute Center received a "Zero Deficiency Survey" from Medicare surveyors in July 2016, demonstrating the facility's diligence and effort to provide five-star quality care for patients and residents. This survey comes on the heels of several months of improvements, from new management to new leaders. The healthcare facility has since received a 5-star rating by U.S. News and World Report.
Using data from the federal agency that sets and enforces standards for nursing homes, U.S. News awarded the "Best Nursing Home" designation to homes that recently earned an overall rating of five stars. The ratings cover more than 16,000 nursing homes nationwide and are available at http://www.usnews.com/best-nursing-homes. Medicare likewise rated each nursing home with one to five stars based on separate measures of quality of care, health-inspections record, and level of nurse staffing.
Along with new owners, two new leaders were added to the team of healthcare professionals. Ben Pyper was named as the facility administrator and Judith Gasmin as the Director of Nursing.
The outstanding healthcare team has turned the 49-bed Pleasant Hill facility into what US News and World Report deems one of the best nursing homes in the United States. "At Pleasant Hill Post Acute, we take every measure to ensure our patients receive the best care," said Pyper. "The team here is passionate about serving this community." Patients describe the facility as "homelike, warm, and comfortable."
Pleasant Hill has an outstanding physical therapy program to helpthose with post-hospital care needs transition home. Specialty programs include pulmonary, cardiac, and orthopedic rehabilitation.
