DALLAS, March 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa MENA (Middle East North Africa) is the proud sponsor of the Dubai Desert Kittens who recently won the youth social competition at the Inter Gulf Netball Championship. The young ladies, who are all 14 and 15 years old, took the title by defeating Abu Dhabi in the finals on March 7 at the Bahrain Rugby Football Club in Saar.

The tournament was the 29th annual event to be held in Bahrain. Netball is played by over 20 million people in more than 70 countries. It is similar to basketball but there is no dribbling, no running with the ball, the ball and basket are slightly smaller, and there is no backboard.
