This morning, Stifel Nicolaus upgraded Cable Television and Film stocks Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA), Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) and IMAX Corp (Nasdaq: IMAX) from Hold to Buy.
Shares of CMCSA opened $0.50 higher, but are now trading about 0.3% higher (+$0.06). TWC opened $1.00 higher, but is now trading up down $0.48 (-0.75%). However, the big winner this morning is IMAX, which is currently trading at $20.91, up $1.64 (+8.5%). IMAX shares have been beaten down over the past six months, trading around $35/sh before falling to a 52-wk low of $12.57. The Company continues to announce new installations (worldwide) and is seeing positive weekend sales from hits like Twilight.
