The analyst comments, "Positives for CEMP include: (1) two antibiotic candidates targeting multi-drug resistance, thus well positioned to benefit from GAIN Act; (2) lead solithromycin in Ph3 for CABP, with data in 1H14; and (3) Taksta targeting niche indication in PJI, with Ph2 data in 4Q13. Challenges are: (1) limited capital hampering its ability to expedite Ph3 programs; and (2) likely continued need for financing in the absence of significant partnership."
