Jazz Technologies, Inc. (AMEX: JAZ) announced that Ellen M. Hancock resigned as president and from the Board of Directors effective June 7, 2007. Mrs. Hancock, together with Gilbert F. Amelio, Ph.D. and Steve Wozniak, co-founded Jazz Technologies (formerly Acquicor Technology) in 2005 and helped to lead the company through an initial public offering in 2006 and its merger with Jazz Semiconductor, Inc. in 2007.

Mrs. Hancock decided to resign to devote time to other business obligations. As a board member of Colgate-Palmolive Company, Electronic Data Systems Corporation, and Aetna Inc.; a trustee of Marist College, Santa Clara University, and the Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies; and a director of the Pacific Council of International Policy, she concluded she no longer has the time necessary to devote to a full-time role as president of Jazz Technologies.
