Dixon, Executive Vice President - Operations and Chief Operating Officer, entered into a sales trading plan pursuant to Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934. The plan expires on June 30, 2010 and has been approved by Chesapeake in accordance with its Insider Trading Policy. The plan is part of Mr. Dixon's long-term strategy to diversify assets. Other Chesapeake executives may enter into Rule 10b5-1 trading plans in the future, from time to time.
After the close, Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL) VP Juergen Rottler disclosed the sale of 600,000 shares on 6/29 at $21.30 after exercising options on the same amount of shares at prices from $11.05-$12.34. Rottler remaining holdings after the sale is 5,000 shares.
The option had expiration dates of 09/24/2014 (100K shares) and 06/20/2015 (500K shares).

Carl Icahn continues to increase his position in Lions Gate Entertainment (NYSE: LGF). On 6/26, Mr. Icahn bought 10,739 shares at an average price of $5.26 a share and on 6/29, Icahn bought 597,500 shares at an average price of $5.43. Icahn now owns 20,722,651 shares of Lions Gate. Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) Director, Gordon Cambell, disclosed the sale of 106,939 shares of PALM common shares on 6/29 at $15.84/share, following the exercising of options on the exact same number of shares at prices from $2.21-$5.46. Cambell's remaining direct holding in the company following the sale is "zero" shares.
The options had Expiration Dates between 10/28/2013 and 09/12/2014.
Shares of PALM have seen a meteoric rise this year due to the successful development and launch of the new Palm Pre smartphone. The stock is up an amazing 436% YTD.
Cambell has been a director of Palm since since September 1999.

In a Form 4 filing with the SEC, Carl Icahn disclosed that he purchased another nearly 500,000 share of Lions Gate Entertainment (NYSE: LGF). Icahn's stake in the film company is now 20,114,412 shares, up from 19,621,930 shares prior to the first recent purchase, made Tuesday.
Last week, Icahn purchased more than 1.5 million shares in two separate filings. On Tuesday of last week, Icahn disclosed that he purchased more than 350,00 shares, and the very next day, he disclosed another purchase of 1.06 million shares.
Despite the massive buys by Icahn, shares of Lions Gate have traded relatively flat this year: on January 1, the stock was around $5.50, and today, the stock closed at $5.27.
