NewPage Group (NWP) Files $805M IPO

NewPage Group (NYSE: NWP) filed a registration statement with the SEC for an initial public offering of its common stock. The proposed maximum aggregate offering price is $805 million. The company plans to list on the NYSE under the stock symbol "NWP".

The offering is being made through Goldman Sachs.

NewPage Group is a coated paper manufacturer in North America based on production capacity. Coated paper is used primarily in media and marketing applications, such as corporate annual reports, high-end advertising brochures, direct mail advertising, coated labels, magazines, magazine covers and inserts and catalogs.
