New Century Financial Corp. (NYSE: NEW) 27% HIGHER; Bounces back after yesterday's 69% sell-off.

Sykes Enterprises (Nasdaq: SYKE) 22.6% HIGHER; Reports Q4 EPS of $0.20, 1 cent worse than estimates.(0.21) Revenues were $158.6 million vs. $154.14 million consensus. The business outlook for the first quarter and full year of 2007 reflects expectations of continued positive momentum from the fourth quarter 2006.

InterMune (Nasdaq: ITMN) 21.2% LOWER; The DMC found the overall survival result crossed a predefined stopping boundary for lack of benefit of Actimmune relative to placebo.

IVANHOE ENERGY INC (Nasdaq: IVAN) 20% HIGHER; Stock moving higher with no specific news releases. However, shares have fallen approx. 50% over the past 12 months.

Impac Mortgage Holdings (NYSE: IMH) 18.3% HIGHER; Company said substantially all of the mortgages they originate or acquire are Alt-A loans not subprime. NOTE: Stock has been down significantly recently on subprime blow-up.

Fremont General (NYSE: FMT) 13.6% HIGHER; Bank stock that's been hammered recently tied to subprime lending seeing slightly rebound.

IPG Photonics (Nasdaq: IPGP) 12.7% LOWER; Reports adjusted Q4 EPS of $0.17, 3 cents better than estimates. (non adjusted EPS was an $0.11 loss) Revenues were $42.1 million vs. $39.42 million consensus. For the first quarter of 2007, IPG Photonics expects revenues in the range of $38 million to $41 million vs. consensus of $41.45 million. The Company anticipates earnings per diluted share in the range of $0.10 to $0.14 for Q1 vs. $0.14 consensus.

Santarus (Nasdaq: SNTS) 11.6% HIGHER; Reports a Q4 loss of $0.15, 9 cents better than estimates.(-.24) Revenues were $20.5 million vs. $18.09 million consensus.

The Topps Company (Nasdaq: TOPP) 10% HIGHER; Entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Michael Eisner's The Tornante Company LLC and Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC, a leading private equity firm. Under the terms of the agreement, Topps stockholders will receive $9.75 per share in cash, for a total transaction value of approximately $385.4 million.

Maidenform Brands (NYSE: MFB) 8.6% HIGHER; Reports Q4 EPS of $0.13, 5 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $85.0 million vs. $83.49 million consensus. Sees Total net sales growth of 6%-7% with low double-digit net sales growth in Maidenform's branded wholesale business. EPS growth of 15%-18%.

Volt Information Sciences (NYSE: VOL) 7.1% LOWER; Reports Q1 EPS of $0.03, 1 cent better than estimates. Revenues were $548.8 million vs. $565.61 million consensus.
