Euro Tech Holdings Company Limited (Nasdaq: CLWT) 15% HIGHER; announced that its associated company, Zhejiang Tianlan Desulfurization and Dust-Removal Co. Ltd. in Zhejiang, China has recently been awarded four contracts totally US$ 7.3 million by various companies in China for the months of July and August 2007.

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (Nasdaq: GILT) 11% HIGHER; Reports Hughes Comm. plans to bid for the company at $12 per share.

Knight Capital Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NITE) 9% HIGHER; announced that The Goldman Sachs Group Inc.(NYSE: GS) has agreed to purchase a minority equity interest in Direct Edge ECN.

Avigen Inc. (Nasdaq: AVGN) 8% HIGHER; Initiates U.S. Clinical Development for AV411

Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc. (NYSE: IMH) 8% LOWER; Delayed 10-Q, stopped making Alt-A loans

The Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) 7.8% HIGHER; reported Q2 revenues of $975.3 million, which compares to the consensus of $1.06 billion. The company reported net income of $774.4 million.

BEA Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAS) 7.4% HIGHER; Three brokers upgrade the stock, UBS, Bear, BofA

ValueClick (Nasdaq: VCLK) 5.7% HIGHER; JP Morgan upgrades from Neutral to Overweight

Beazer Homes USA Inc. (NYSE: BZH) 5.6% LOWER; Delays 10-Q, citing internal investigation.

Bear Stearns Companies (NYSE: BSC) 3.5% HIGHER; positive Barron's article.

Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) 2% HIGHER; Provides said certain hedge funds suffered significantly. The company and various investors, including C.V. Starr & Co., Inc., Perry Capital LLC and Eli Broad, are making a $3 billion equity investment in Global Equity Opportunities fund
