Sears Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq: SHLD) said Q2 Kmart comparable store sales decreased by 3.8%, with declines across most categories. Sears domestic comparable store sales decreased by 4.3%, with declines across most categories partially offset by increases in consumer electronics, women's apparel and footwear. Sears sees Q2 EPS between $1.13 and $1.23 per fully diluted share. The consensus is $1.13. Company raises stock buyback by an additional $1.5 billion.
Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. (NYSE: PPD) +$7.17; Chairman & CEO Harland Stonecipher has announced the company's intent to undergo a national media campaign beginning in late September. The purpose of the campaign, Stonecipher said, is to increase the awareness and familiarity of the Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. Life Events Legal Plan®.
