WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Boeing and NASA quelled two technical issues on the company's Starliner spacecraft, including a "design vulnerability" requiring a temporary workaround, to get the capsule back on track for its first mission carrying two astronauts to space, officials said on Friday.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The typical summer slowdown in U.S. stock markets may be more pronounced this year with inflation jitters and an early presidential debate that have the potential to weigh on a rally that has pushed the S&P 500 near record highs in recent months.

Investing.com -- Federal Reserve interest rate cuts are "off the table for now" following recent commentary from policymakers and minutes from the central bank's latest meeting, analysts at Bank of America Global Research wrote on Friday.
Statements from Fed officials this week suggested that rate-setters want to see more evidence that inflation is cooling back down to their 2% target, meaning that they are likely in no rush to ratchet down borrowing costs.

AI and technology stocks are now core holdings among active funds, strategists at Bank of America said in a Friday note.
“We screened the S&P 500 for stocks that saw the largest increase in ownership breadth over the last 12 months (measured by the percent of funds owning each ticker). Unsurprisingly, nine of 10 stocks on our list are AI or Tech-related,” strategists wrote, with the only exception being pharma giant Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY).
