Campbell Soup Co. (NYSE: CPB) 2% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.45, ex-items, 4 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $1.868 billion versus the consensus of $1.79 billion. Increasing forecasted fiscal 2007 adjusted EPS growth from continuing operations to a range of 12 to 14 percent.
Lowe's Companies Inc. (NYSE: LOW) 1.3% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.48, 1 cent worse than estimates. Revenues came in at $12.2 versus the consensus of $12.46 billion. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.62-$0.64 versus the consensus of $0.60. Sees FY EPS of $1.99-$2.03, versus the consensus of $2.01.
GE (NYSE: GE) 1% HIGHER; signed a definitive agreement to sell GE Plastics to Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) in a deal valued at $11.6 billion in cash plus assumption of liabilities. To Use Proceeds for Stock Buyback
