Heska Corporation (Nasdaq: HSKA) 24.4% HIGHER; Reports First profitable Q1 in Company's history with EPS of $0.04 compared to $0.00 for the same period last year. Revenues were $22.72 million compared to $17.5 million for the same period last year.
Cutera (Nasdaq: CUTR) 23% LOWER; Reports Q1 EPS of $0.18, 1 cent worse than estimates.(0.19) Revenues were $23.3 million vs. $22.99 million consensus. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.14, versus the consensus of $0.30. Sees 2007 EPS of $1.07, versus the consensus of $1.33.
Harvey Electronics (NASDAQ: HRVE) 19.8% HIGHER; Company has agreed to acquire Myer-Emco, Inc., the Mid-Atlantic region's leading high-end retailer and custom installer of audio video systems. The addition of MyerEmco's 10 locations in Washington, D. C. and its suburbs will more than double the size of Harvey. The closing of the transaction is subject to financing and other customary contingencies.

Blue Nile (Nasdaq: NILE) 15% HIGHER; Reports Q1 EPS of $0.19, 4 cents better than estimates.(0.15) Revenues were $67.9 million vs. $62.12 million consensus. Company sees Q2 EPS between $0.16-0.17 vs. consensus of $0.18. Sees Q2 sales between $65.5-67.5 million vs. $66.8 million consensus.
Florida East Coast Industries (NYSE: FLA) 11.5% HIGHER; Entered into a definitive merger agreement with certain private equity funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group LLC (NYSE: FIG) under which Fortress will acquire FECI in a $3.5 billion transaction. Florida East Coast Industries will pay a special dividend of $21.50 per share in cash and in the merger shareholders will receive $62.50 in cash for each share of FECI common stock they hold.
AK Steel (NYSE: AKS) 11% HIGHER; Mittal (NYSE: MT) unlikely to bid For AK Steel, citing source - WSJ. However, there is still a lot of speculation and consolidation in the steel sector.
Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. (NYSE: ETE) 9% HIGHER; Natural Gas Partners has sold approximately 55% of its ownership stake in Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. and the majority of its equity interests in LE GP, L.L.C., the general partner of ETE, to Enterprise GP Holdings, L.P. (NYSE: EPE) for a total purchase price of over $744 million, reflecting a per unit share price of $42.
Playboy Enterprises (NYSE: PLA) 6.4% HIGHER; Reports Q1 EPS of $0.04, 3 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $85.4 million vs. $84.46 million consensus.
