NetSol Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: NTWK) 36% HIGHER; reported record Q4 results. The company said revenues increased 84% year-over-year to $8.6 million and GAAP net income increased to $1.3 million, or $0.07 per share, versus a loss of ($0.11) in the year ago period.
Kellwood Company (NYSE: KWD) 35% HIGHER; received an unsolicited letter from Sun Capital Securities Group, LLC, indicating Sun Capital's interest in pursuing an acquisition of all of Kellwood's outstanding shares at a price of $21 in cash per share. The Sun Capital proposal, contained in a letter dated September 18, 2007, is subject to a number of conditions, including completion of due diligence.
Evotec AG and Renovis, Inc. (NASDAQ: RNVS) 24.4% HIGHER; entered into a definitive agreement under which Evotec will acquire Renovis in a stock-for-stock transaction valued at approximately US$ 151.8 million (US$ 4.75 per common share).
Accredited Home Lenders Holding Co. (NASDAQ: LEND) 17.9% HIGHER; The company and Lone Star Fund have amended their June 4, 2007 merger agreement to settle the pending lawsuit between the companies and reduce the price at which Lone Star agrees to acquire all of the common stock of the Company to $11.75 per share.
Iomai Corporation (Nasdaq: IOMI) 10% HIGHER; said travelers who received the company's patch-based travelers' diarrhea vaccine were significantly less likely to be sickened as compared with travelers who receive a placebo, according to research presented today by Chief Scientific Officer Gregory Glenn, M.D
CarMax Inc. (NYSE: KMX) 8.8% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.29, in-line with estimates. Revenues came in at $2.12 billion versus the consensus of $2.2 billion. Sees 2008 EPS of $0.92-$0.98, versus prior guidance of $1.03-$1.14 below the consensus of $1.06.
Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALNY) 7% HIGHER; announced that Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MRK) and Alnylam have mutually agreed to terminate their July 2006 amended and restated agreement.
Knight Transportation, Inc. (NYSE: KNX) 6% LOWER; sees Q3 EPS in the range of $0.18 to $0.21 per diluted share, below the consensus of $0.23.
Powerwave Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: PWAV) 5% LOWER; intends to raise approximately $130 million through an offering of 20-year convertible notes in a private offering for resale to qualified institutional buyers.
TD AMERITRADE (Nasdaq: AMTD) 2% HIGHER; expects its earnings per share to be at the high end of, perhaps above, the $0.24 to $0.32 guidance range for the September quarter of fiscal 2007. The Wall Street consensus is $0.30.
Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) 2.4% HIGHER; now expects third-quarter earnings per share, before special items, to be in the upper end of their guidance range of $.34 to $.37. The Wall Street consensus is $.36.
Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (Nasdaq: MDRX) 2.2% HIGHER; Cramer highlights the stock on CNBC's Mad Money
Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) 0.7% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.38, below the consensus of $1.53. Revenues came in at $8 billion versus the consensus of $8.32 billion.
First Intercontinental Bank (OTCBB: FIEB) INDICATED HIGHER; Center Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: CLFC) and First Intercontinental Bank announced the signing of a definitive agreement for Center to acquire First Intercontinental. The transaction is valued at $22.27 per fully diluted share of First Intercontinental Bank common stock, based on a total purchase price of $65.2 million to be paid to First Intercontinental shareholders, payable 60% in cash and 40% in Center common stock.
