Red Hat, Inc. (RHT) Tops Q2 EPS by 2c

Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT) reported Q2 EPS of $0.35, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter came in at $374 million versus the consensus estimate of $372.1 million.

Revenue and adjusted EPS in the same period last year were $278.8 million and $0.28.

We are a market leader for new innovations based on open source technologies that are driving the transformation of the data center toward an open, hybrid cloud infrastructure, commented CEO Jim Whitehurst. We recently added infrastructure-as-a-service, Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform, to our portfolio of cloud offerings.

Operating cash flow improved from $104 million up to $119 million. The company's cash and squivalents are at $1.29 billion.
