Deutsche Bank Downgrades Shanda (SNDA) to Hold

April 20, 2009 10:07 AM EDT

Deutsche Bank downgrades Shanda (Nasdaq: SNDA) from Buy to Hold, but raises their price target to $34. The firm cited valuation reasons.

Commenting on the company's new Aion Flux game, the firm noted that the heavily promoted Aion game launch initially saw heavy usage, but they believe usage to have declined recently due to various factors, including "1) gamer concerns around lack of content, 2) the game being too expensive, 3) heavy PC specs. The early launch of Aion would have bolstered Shanda’s attempts to spin off its gaming division."
