Defense Stocks Decline Despite Fears of U.S. Attack on Syria

August 27, 2013 3:51 PM EDT
A potential U.S. attack on Syria in response to a use of chemical attack sent stocks lower on Tuesday. Despite fears on Wall Street, defense stocks traded lower, in-line with the broader market.

For example, shares of Raytheon traded lower by 2.35%. Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman and other defense stocks traded lower as well.

The reaction may suggest investors do not anticipating a large confrontation or an increase in defense spending. Regardless, for those investors interesting in playing the defense theme, we've included a broad list of aerospace/defense stocks.
