Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) is moving higher on light market chatter that CEO Dick Costolo might be out soon. Shares are up 2.2 percent.
In a note to clients this morning, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey analyst Robert Peck discussed the CEO speculation, which has been a part of the conversation on Wall Street lately.
Peck said, "“If Dick Costolo stepped down or retired, who would replace him?” We think that should this happen, a savvy media vet like Neal Mohan of Google, or Ross Levinsohn (former CEO of Yahoo!), or Omid Kordestani (Google) would make a great complement to CFO Anthony Noto."
Peck discussed the topic on CNBC mid-day, saying Costolo could be out by next year.
