S&P Equity Research maintains a 'Strong Buy' rating on Oracle Corp (Nasdaq: ORCL).

S&P analyst, Z. Bokhari, says, "As expected, shareholders of BEA Systems (Nasdaq: BEAS) approved its pending acquisition by ORCL at a special shareholders meeting Friday. The acquisition is still subject to conditions and a provals, including clearance from the European Commission. Unless issues arise, ORCL and BEAS expect to receive this approval by April 30 and see the transaction closing shortly thereafter. This time frame is consistent with ORCL's expectation of comsummating the transaction during its May-Q. We make no changes to our EPS estimates for ORCL of $1.25 for FY 08 (May) and 1.45 for FY 09."
