Research Firm Sees McDonald's (MCD) June Comps Up 2.7%

July 20, 2009 2:20 PM EDT

Following a recent survey of McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) franchisees, research firm Research Edge believes that the leading fast-food chain will report a 2.7% rise in comparable store sales for the month of June. Research Edge notes that McDonald's recent focus on promotions and discounts will likely pressure margins at some point, something that most fast-casual restaurants are presently facing.

Investors will find out if the forecast rings true on Thursday, July 23 when McDonald's is expected to report its Q2 results.

Today, shares of McDonald's are up about 0.7% to $58.22.
