Gabelli & Co issues some positive comments on Apollo Group Inc. (Nasdaq: APOL) as the stock has sold off nearly 9% yesterday and 17% YTD.
The firm said, "Start growth has accelerated to 23% in the most recent quarter from high single digits In fiscal 2008 - this growth has been driven by new marketing efforts such as the "I am a Phoenix" campaign as well as a weaker economic environment that encourages people to return to school and strengthen job skills - maintain Buy recommendation and PMV of $97."
